AFC Administrative Assistant - FT - STP/MPLS, MN

TITLE: Adult Foster Care Administrative Assistant

TYPE: Full-Time

LOCATION: St. Paul/Minneapolis area

HOURS: Office hours are typically Monday through Friday 8 am – 4:30 pm.

WAGE: $13.00-$15.00 per hour, based on experience

DESCRIPTION: This Full-Time, hourly position contributes to the fulfillment of Residential Transitions Inc. mission by providing ongoing administrative assistance and support to the HR Director, Adult Foster Care program, and other RTI programs as needed. This position requires the applicant to maintain confidentiality at all times, clear communication skills, and strong organizational skills.

Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties include:

  • Assisting Adult Foster Care Managers with Admin related tasks
  • Assuring Licensing Compliance via Documentation Review
  • Assisting various RTI Managers throughout the company with Admin related tasks
  • Assisting with HR and Admin related projects
  • Assisting with filing and maintaining personnel files
  • Data entry into Therap, Excel documents, Word Documents, etc.
  • Answering the phone
  • Ordering and maintaining site supplies
  • Maintaining and organizing RTI office sites
  • Running errands for the company
  • Filing and maintaining client charts
  • Tracking client chart documents
  • Frequently communicate with clients, staff and new hires in person, on the phone and through email.
  • Other various projects as assigned through out the company

EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or GED required

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION:

  • 1 year of Administrative Office experience and / or Human Resources experience preferred
  • 1 year of Adult Foster Care experience
  • Possess excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills and strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Must have accuracy and strong attention to detail, ability to handle multiple responsibilities and excellent organizational, time management and prioritization.
  • Microsoft Office 365, MNITS and Therap software knowledge/experience preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Able to to move up to 40 lbs
  • Able to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, computer printer and other devices.
  • Able to remain in a stationary position 75%
  • Able to look at computer screen for long periods of time
  • Able to type 50 wpm
  • Will need to travel with personal vehicle in between RTI Sites, mileage is reimbursed.
