WHAT IS HOUSING STABILIZATION SERVICES (HSS)?

In our HSS program we address homelessness by helping people find housing that fits their budget and preferences. We also help people maintain the housing that they have.

Housing Stabilization Services is comprised of three separate pieces. RTI provides person-centered Transition and Sustaining services through HSS.

Based on years of experience and designed from the ground up to provide a comprehensive, person-centered housing support for your client – from housing search to homelessness prevention – RTI‘s HSS program will help your client at every step along the way.

Who is Eligible for HSS?

All Minnesotan adults on Medicare who are experiencing housing instability are eligible to receive Housing Stabilization Services. The eligibility criteria, as defined by the Department of Human Services, is that the person must:

    Be on Medical Assistance (MA)
    Be 18 years or older
    Have a documented disability or disabling condition
    Be experiencing housing instability
